Screen print by Pedro Lujan, “Huejotzingo II”

Pedro Lujan says that “the dominant aspect of his art is the persistent attempt to conciliate the boundaries between the natural world and the psychic inner reality of dreams and fantasies”. His print “Huejotzingo II” refers to a carnival in the Mexican town of the same name where the festivities include the firing of shotguns loaded with black powder, but no bullets. We use this image to advertise our courses as we think the combination of dreams and loaded guns appropriate armor for students of political science.
