Johan Spanner

Johan Spanner is a research assistant for Images and International Security, and pursuing a master's degree in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. His interest in images stems from a career as a photojournalist covering conflict and politics for international publications. He was part of the The New York Times' Baghdad Bureau effort that was a 2008 Pulitzer Prize finalist. His contribution to the project will be assisting the researchers, as well as empirical knowledge on image making.
